Effective Date: August 15, 2026

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Artist Bookkeeping website.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Artist Bookkeeping website, including information, resources, forms, downloads, and other content made available through the website.

Artist Bookkeeping is operated by Mara Skye Wolf in Taos, New Mexico.

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website.

For purposes of these Terms, “Artist Bookkeeping,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Artist Bookkeeping and Mara Skye Wolf. “You” and “your” refer to the person or business using the website.

1. Purpose of This Website

Artist Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping services designed primarily for artists, creatives, and small businesses.

This website provides information about Artist Bookkeeping, our services, bookkeeping topics, resources, and ways to contact or schedule a consultation with us.

Information provided on this website is intended for general informational and educational purposes.

2. Website Use Does Not Create a Bookkeeping Relationship

Visiting this website, submitting a contact or scheduling form, subscribing to communications, downloading a resource, or communicating with Artist Bookkeeping does not by itself create a bookkeeper-client relationship.

A bookkeeping relationship begins only when Artist Bookkeeping and the client mutually agree to services, including any required engagement agreement or other service agreement.

If there is a conflict between these website Terms of Use and a separate written engagement agreement governing bookkeeping services, the engagement agreement will control with respect to those services.

Artist Bookkeeping reserves the right to accept or decline prospective clients and engagements.

3. General Information — Not Individualized Professional Advice

Information provided on this website is general in nature and is not intended to address the specific circumstances of every individual or business.

Although Artist Bookkeeping works with financial records and provides bookkeeping services, information on this website should not be considered individualized bookkeeping, accounting, tax, legal, investment, or financial-planning advice.

You should not make significant financial, tax, legal, or business decisions solely on the basis of general website content.

Artist Bookkeeping does not provide legal or investment advice.

Unless specifically included in a separate written engagement agreement and permitted by applicable law, Artist Bookkeeping does not provide tax preparation or individualized tax advice. Questions requiring tax advice or tax-return preparation should be directed to an appropriately qualified tax professional.

4. No Guarantee of Results

Artist Bookkeeping strives to provide useful, accurate, and practical information.

However, every business and financial situation is different.

We do not guarantee that information, strategies, suggestions, resources, or bookkeeping practices discussed on this website will produce a particular financial, business, tax, or other result.

Examples, illustrations, case studies, or discussions of possible outcomes are provided for informational purposes and should not be interpreted as promises or guarantees.

5. Accuracy of Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information, but bookkeeping practices, accounting software, tax rules, laws, regulations, technology, and business practices may change over time.

We do not guarantee that every piece of information on the website will always be complete, current, or error-free.

You are responsible for verifying information that is important to your particular financial, legal, tax, or business situation with an appropriately qualified professional when necessary.

We may update, correct, remove, or modify website content at any time.

Submitting a scheduling request does not guarantee an appointment, acceptance as a client, or availability of services.

Please do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, full banking credentials, or other highly sensitive financial information through a general website contact or scheduling form unless Artist Bookkeeping specifically provides an appropriate secure method for doing so.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to or integrate with services operated by third parties, including services such as:

11. Payments

If Artist Bookkeeping accepts online payments, payments may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe or QuickBooks Payments.

Use of those payment services may also be subject to the payment provider's terms and privacy policies.

Specific fees, payment schedules, late-payment provisions, cancellation terms, refund provisions, and other financial terms associated with bookkeeping services will be established in the applicable service or engagement agreement.

12. Bookkeeping Services

These Terms govern use of the Artist Bookkeeping website and are not a substitute for a bookkeeping engagement agreement.

Clients who hire Artist Bookkeeping may be required to enter into a separate written agreement addressing matters such as:

  • Scope of bookkeeping services

  • Client responsibilities

  • Fees and payment terms

  • Record and document submission

  • Access to financial accounts and software

Your use of this website is also subject to the Artist Bookkeeping Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and share information.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14. Website Availability

The website may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues, software updates, security concerns, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website at any time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, this website and its general informational content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

This section relates to use of the website and its general content. Any terms relating to liability for paid bookkeeping services will be addressed separately in the applicable engagement agreement.

17. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Artist Bookkeeping will not be responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control.

These may include natural disasters, severe weather, fire, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, government actions, labor disruptions, widespread service interruptions, emergencies, or failures of third-party technology providers.

We will make reasonable efforts to resume affected services when circumstances allow.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our website, services, business practices, or legal requirements.

When these Terms are updated, the revised version will be posted on the website and the Effective Date at the top of this page will be changed.

Your continued use of the website after revised Terms are posted indicates your acceptance of the Terms then in effect to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to the terms of an existing paid bookkeeping engagement will be handled according to the applicable engagement agreement and will not be made solely by changing these website Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Artist Bookkeeping website will be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or another applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
