The ranges below will give you a realistic idea of what monthly bookkeeping with Artist Bookkeeping may cost. Monthly Bookkeeping
Micro Business Bookkeeping
Starting at $195/month
This option is designed for artists, creatives, and other very small businesses that have relatively few transactions and simple finances but are ready to move beyond spreadsheets and start keeping consistent, professional books.
QuickBooks Ledger is included in your monthly service.
A typical business in this range might have:
25-40 transactions per month
1 business checking account
1 business credit card
1 payment processor or sales platform
Simple cash-basis bookkeeping
No inventory tracking, payroll, A/R, or A/P
Simple Monthly Bookkeeping
Typically $300–$395/month
A good fit for a smaller business that has moved beyond the occasional sale and is ready to keep its books consistently organized.
A typical business in this range might have:
40 -75 monthly transactions
1 business checking account
1 business credit card
1-2 payment processors or sales platforms
Straightforward cash-basis bookkeeping
No inventory tracking, payroll, A/R, or A/P
A QuickBooks Online Account (not included in our monthly service fee)
Growing Business Bookkeeping
Typically $450–$575/month
Designed for businesses where there is simply more going on, more sales, more expenses, more accounts, or several different ways money enters and leaves the business.

75–125 monthly transactions
2 bank accounts
2 business credit cards
2-3 payment processors or sales platforms
More frequent receipt matching or transaction research
Multiple types of business income
Complex Monthly Bookkeeping
Starting at $650/month
For established small businesses with a larger number of transactions, several financial accounts, multiple payment processors, or bookkeeping that requires more research and monthly attention.
A business in this range may have:
150+ monthly transactions
Multiple bank and credit-card accounts
Several payment processors or income streams
More complicated transaction categorization
Frequent receipt matching
More detailed reporting needs

Sales Tax Support
Sales tax can become complicated quickly, particularly for artists and makers who sell through several platforms, shows, galleries, or locations.
Sales tax support may be available depending on your business and filing requirements and will be quoted separately from monthly bookkeeping.
Services That Aren't Included in Standard Monthly Packages
To keep Artist Bookkeeping focused on straightforward small-business bookkeeping, standard packages do not include:
Tax return preparation
Payroll processing
Accounts Payable management
Accounts Receivable management
Inventory accounting
Complex accrual accounting
Some of these additional services may be available on a case-by-case basis. If your business needs something outside my standard packages, tell me about it when you inquire and we can determine whether I'm the right fit.
How Your Monthly Price Is Determined
I don't believe a business with 35 transactions should pay the same amount as one with 235.
Your bookkeeping price is primarily based on:
Monthly transaction volume
Number of bank and credit-card accounts
Number of payment processors and sales platforms
Amount of receipt matching or transaction research needed
Complexity of your income and expenses
Reporting needs
Overall condition of your books
As your business changes, your bookkeeping needs may change too. We'll periodically make sure your level of service still makes sense for the business you have.
